Someone impersonating SDS and Drew Hendricks - PLEASE FORWARD

The following notice on Seattle Indymedia about the supposed cancellation of Port of Tacoma actions, and "Drew Hendricks"'s scathing reply, are completely bogus.

No, events are NOT cancelled.  No, we wouldn't do that to people in the first place.  And no, Drew would not ever write anything like this:

This tells us one important thing.  Something this coordinated could only come from gov't suppression, and not some random troll who doesn't know about our past feuding, doesn't know who Drew Hendricks is, and doesn't know the other details.  Now we know they're scared, which means we are having an effect.  All we have to do is keep up the heat.  :D

This tells us one important thing. Something this coordinated could only come from gov't suppression, and not some random troll who doesn't know about our past feuding, doesn't know who Drew Hendricks is, and doesn't know the other details.

Yeah, I'm with UCIMC and there are all kinds of trolls and generally nasty folks out there. That kind of behavior smells a lot more like internecine feuding than government suppression, though.

Yeah, I disagree. The fake Drew Hendricks message is a direct reference to some internal disagreements we were having a few weeks back. (We since patched things up.) This is stuff an ordinary troll or Protest Warrior wouldn't know about, but a surveillant would.

FWIW, we've had right-wing troll surveillants. One was sitting on a local peace-related mailing list and caused a problem for this guy who'd sent an email from his university account. But what kind of software are you using for Seattle IMC? Can you just track the IP associated with the post and get some idea where it came from?
